The Next Step is paperless! Please visit our website at www.nextstepdance.com to register on-line for classes. If you do not have access to a computer, please visit us at 109-A Town and Country Drive, Danville or call us at (925) 831-0777. All tuition is payable in advance and is non refundable. No adjustments or prorating for absences or vacations and no credits will be issued. Once your on-line payment is received, this holds your place in class. A registration /insurance fee of $30 per student is payable once a year. This will be automatically withdrawn with your fist month’s payment via our on-line registration program.

Returning Students do not need to re-register! Returning students will be charged for September tuition plus the registration/insurance fee on June 1st annually in order to remain registered for the following season. Instructors will make class recommendations in May for the new season so that students may adjust their September schedule on-line. A student who withdraws from a class must do so by managing their own account “on-line” at www.nextstepdance.com no later than the 15th of the month or the next month’s full tuition will be automatically withdrawn from your account and not refunded or credited.

Due to the popularity of our classes, we encourage you to register early. Please contact the office at (925) 881-0777 if you need any help with registration. Our office staff is always happy to assist you.

FINANCIAL POLICIES: Please understand our policy must be that what you are purchasing is not a class at a time, but a reserved place in that class. There is no provision for credit to be issued. Tuition is not refundable and no adjustments can be made for the number of days or classes in a given month or for days missed due to illness or any personal inconveniences. A student who withdraws from a class must do so by managing their own account "on-line" at www.nextstepdance.com no later than the 15th of the month or the next month's full tuition will be automatically withdrawn from your account and not refunded or credited. In the event of insufficient funds, account holders will be charged a $15.00 service fee in addition to their regular monthly tuition payment. The total amount due must be delivered in cash directly to The Next Step Dance Studio, Inc. by the 15th of that month or the student will be dropped from class/es.

ABSENCES: Please report all absences to the studio by leaving a message at 925-831-0777. Makeup classes can be arranged by the teacher and/or through the office but must be taken within the calendar month paid for and not in the student's regularly enrolled class. Be aware that it is not always possible for us to offer more than one class a week in any given style or age group/level. If there is another class available and it is not full, we will be happy to arrange a makeup. Thank you for your understanding.

DRESS CODE: For ballet classes we require black leotards (any style), pink tights, pink ballet slippers (with elastic sewn in) and hair in a bun. For all other classes we ask that students wear some form of leotard, tights, unitard, etc., so that their body is visible to the instructor. Black tap shoes and/or black jazz shoes (any style) are recommended for shoes. No bare feet, stocking feet, boxer shorts, or unusually large/long/baggy shirts which hide the body are permitted.

LATE ARRIVAL TO CLASS: Late arrival to class must be discouraged as classes are structured to accommodate warming up the body properly. Coming in late is dangerous to the muscles and disrupts the concentration of the class. Therefore, students arriving more than 15 minutes late will be asked to sit and watch rather than participate.

OBSERVING CLASS: Parents are invited to observe during the first week of each month. At all other times classes are "closed," and parents are asked to wait outside until class is over. This is not only an issue of space, but also of not distracting the students.

Payment for the first month's tuition and one-time annual enrollment fee ($30 per student) are due on-line upon registration. Credit will not be issued. Tuition is not refundable or adjusted for absences. These rates do not apply to competitive dance team members. Refer to contract for team rates.
